Coimbatore, July 24 (ANI): The Dravida Munnettra Kazhagam (DMK) top brass, which met here for the second day today to decide the party's future strategy, announced that M. Karunanidhi would continue to lead the party and made no change to its alliance with the Congress.
"The Dravidian movement continues to be led by Karunanidhi," Doordarshan quoted a resolution passed at the Council, as saying.
According to reports, the DMK leaders also remained silent on the replacements of two of its leaders A. Raja and Dayanidhi Maran, who quit the Union Cabinet over the 2G spetrum scam.
Maran, who resigned from the Union Cabinet on July 7 after coming under the Supreme Court"s scanner in the 2G scam, is the third DMK leader under scrutiny after lawmaker Kanimozhi and former Union Telecom Minister A. Raja were arrested for their alleged role in the 2G scam. (ANI)
