New York, July 13 (ANI): Dominique Strauss-Kahn reportedly sent a text message to a French writer who has filed a criminal complaint against him for attempted rape, asking, 'Do I scare you?'
According to the Telegraph, former IMF chief sent the message to Tristane Banon, 32, who accused him of attempted rape, after the incident.
Police questioned Banon for five hours on Monday as part of a preliminary probe into whether to pursue or dismiss the case.
Banon alleges she fought to repel Strauss-Kahn as he tried to unhook her bra and open her jeans like a 'rutting chimpanzee' during a pre-arranged interview for a book she was writing.
Her lawyer, David Koubbi, insisted he has "material" evidence of the alleged attack and that "numerous people are at the judge's disposition to testify".
These include Banon's mother, Anne Mansouret, who says she collected her daughter just after the incident in a state of shock.
Strauss-Kahn, a Socialist who once had high hopes of becoming France's next president, is also facing charges of sexually assaulting a hotel maid in New York. (ANI)
