New Delhi, July 7 (ANI): The third volume of Hindi version of "Shri Ramayana Mahanveshnam" authored by Union Law and Justice Minister M. Veerappa Moily was released here yesterday.
The book was unveiled by Jnanpith awardee Kunwar Narain in presence of senior journalist and Prasar Bharati chairperson Mrinal Pandey and Chinmaya R. Gharekhan, President of the Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts. .
Speaking on the occasion, Veerappa Moily said that "Ramayana Mahanveshnam' reflected the confluence of cultures which constitutes Ayodhya, Kishkinda and Lanka.
"India has to learn from the Ramayana - to become a nation of many voices, many cultures and many people," he added.
Veerappa Moily said that during Lord Rama's time the fight against corruption had started and when Sugriva took over Kishkinda, he started the concept of education for all.
This is the third of the five-volume series epic in which Moily has penned over 40 thousand lines.
The epic Mahanveshnam had received the prestigious Moortidevi Award of Bharatiya Jnanapith. He is now penning epic poem on Draupidi. (ANI)
