London, July 7 (ANI): English footballer Rio Ferdinand has been accused of misleading the public with his claim of being a "family man", as nine other secret lovers in his life were named in court.
At the High Court in London, it was pointed out that the Manchester United star had misled the public by carefully cultivating an image of a family man and devoted husband of wife Rebecca - the mother of his three children.
The women's identities were revealed in an official court documents after Ferdinand, 32, sued the Sunday Mirror over claims by his other lover, Carly Storey, that she had a 13-year relationship with the footballer.
However, lawyers for the newspaper allege the multi-millionaire had a string of affairs over a nine-year period.
The documents revealed that Ferdinand reportedly had a secret fling with Pop Idol star Sarah Whatmore, in December 2002, who was 21 at the time.
He was also linked with Brazilian model Tatiane Rosalino whom he met at a magazine shoot.
The documents claimed that early in 2003, he allegedly cheated on Rebecca with Virgin Airways stewardess Lauren Alcorn, 29.
Alcorn went on to claim she had a five-year affair with Ferdinand and it is alleged the footballer sent her 7,500 pounds to have an abortion.
Ferdinand also reportedly went on to have a threesome in the holiday resort of Ayia Napa in Cyprus with Cathrine Shepherd, 34, and Savannah Benson.
He allegedly went on to have regular sex sessions with Shepherd for six months.
In June 2004, Ferdinand was reportedly caught cheating again with Israeli model Lilach Yafe.
Around the same time it was claimed that Ferdinand had been having a four-year affair with Page Three model Holly McGuire.
"The claimant has never issued a clear or unequivocal denial or response countering these allegations," the Daily Mail quoted Gavin Millar QC, for Mirror Group Newspapers as saying. (ANI)
