'Horror film to end all horrors' warns audiences of nuke arms stockpiles' dangers

London , Wed, 22 Jun 2011 ANI

London, June 22 (ANI): A movie that shows the history of the atomic bomb, which is being screened as part of the international nuclear awareness campaign 'Global Zero', has been dubbed "the horror film to end all horrors".

Over 100 Global Zero leaders and senior government officials will attend a summit in London over the next two days, and demonstrations are planned for this weekend as part of Nuclear Abolition Day.

Lawrence Bender, producer of the film, 'Countdown To Zero', said that it is important to warn and educate audiences about the dangers posed by nuclear arms stockpiles.

"The truth is scary. It's scary but it's also powerful and I truly believe that this is going to empower people to take action and really raise awareness and help build the Global Zero movement which aims to eliminate nuclear weapons," he added.

Bender grabbed the world's attention after producing 'Reservoir Dogs, From Dusk Till Dawn' and 'Pulp Fiction with Quentin Tarantino'.

He also produced 'An Inconvenient Truth' in 2006, the documentary about Al Gore's global warming awareness campaign. (ANI)
