Hyderabad, June 10 (ANI): The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has begun a crucial meeting today to discuss the party's poll debacle that ended its 34-year rule in West Bengal.
Former chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee is not attending three-day politburo meeting due to bad health.
The politburo meeting, which is being held today, will be followed by a two-day central committee meeting beginning on Saturday.
The top brass of the CPI (M) is also expected to discuss the dismal performance in Kerala.
In the Kerala assembly elections, the United Democratic Front (UDF) won 72 seats, while the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) bagged 68 seats. (ANI)
