Guwahati, June 4 (ANI): Irfan Hussain, a visually challenged musician from Guwahati, recently launched his maiden music album titled Pratyasha.
Irfan, blind from birth, does not fear failure and has always wanted to prove that he is as good as other people.
His musical journey clearly reflects that anything can be achieved with firm determination.
"If one is passionate about something, nobody and nothing can stop you from achieving your goal. Music is in my veins and I find comfort in ragas and rhythms of music. Music brings light into my otherwise dark world," said Hussain.
Irfan began his journey as a musician in his childhood. He does not have any formal training and the skills he has acquired have come with perseverance and hard work.
Irfan, is currently working as a teacher in Golaghat district and is also a member of the National Federation of the Blind - a non-profitable organization that has been trying to protect the rights of the visually impaired since its inception.
The singer, who's in his early thirties, says the commercial success of the album is not important; his purpose in cutting the album was to motivate people like him.
There are many talented people in Guwahati who do not have much money. But once they hear about the release of my album, they will feel inspired," he said.
Samar Hazarika, a renowned Assamese Singer said: "We artists feel that blind people have talent and they can do anything. Though they cannot see from their eyes, but they can see from their heart. (ANI)
