New York, June 3 (ANI): Just five days into her court-ordered house arrest for misdemeanour theft, troubled actress Lindsay Lohan was visited by probation officials after her ankle monitoring device went off.
"Lindsay's electronic monitoring system went off on Monday. When a representative from the monitoring company went to her home, the representative found Lindsay there," the New York Daily News quoted the star's lawyer, Shawn Holley as saying in the statement.
"The equipment was replaced the following day," Holley added.
Lohan's mom, Dina said: "It was just a malfunction. She did not leave the house."
"She's not going to leave the house, trust me. She's excited to finish this up and get back to her community service and her career," she said.
She added that Lindsay's sister, Ali, 17, is staying with the 'Mean Girls' star in her rented Venice Beach townhouse after signing a new modelling contract.
"They're doing a lot of cooking together. Ali loves to bake. And Lindsay is reading scripts and painting," she said. (ANI)
