Peshawar, May 31(ANI): At least 153 people have been killed and 200 others injured in the seven bomb blasts that have taken place in different parts of Pakistan's Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province since al Qaeda founder Osama bin Laden's killing in Abbottabad on May 2.

The terrorist attacks took place in different parts of the province and targeted both government and public places, The Express Tribune reports.

The Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for all seven blasts as 'revenge' for bin Laden's killing.

The Saudi-born terrorist, who had evaded capture for a decade, was killed on May 2 in a top-secret operation involving a small team of US Special Forces in Abbottabad.

The first attack hit a police station in Umar Zai Charsadda on May 2, killing five people and wounding 15 others.

Four civilians were injured in the second assault - a remote controlled blast targeted at a convoy of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Minister for Agriculture.

The third attacked took place on May 8, when a blast on the main gate of the District and Session court in Nowshera killed two people, including a woman constable, and injured ten others.

In what was the worst attack of the month, at least 98 people, including 85 FC recruits and 70 others were injured when two suicide bombers blew themselves up in front of the Shabqadar Frontier Constabulary Fort in Charsadda on May 13.

In the fourth attack, terrorists targeted a US Consulate vehicle near the American Club in University Town on May 20. The blast resulted in the death of a pedestrian, while 10 people sustained injuries.

Last Wednesday, a Crime Investigation Department (CID) police station in the cantonment area of Peshawar was hit when an explosive-laden pickup detonated at the Hayat Chowk on the University Road. According to officials, at least eight security personnel were killed and 39 others were injured.

The latest attack occurred a day later, when a suicide bomber detonated a car bomb near the District administration offices in Hangu last Thursday. At least 39 police personnel and civilians were killed and 52 others were injured in the blast, according to District Police Officer (DPO) Rashid Khan. (ANI)
