New Delhi, May 16 (ANI): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) today filed a supplementary charge sheet against Mecca Masjid accused Swami Aseemanand in Hyderabad special court.
Chargesheet has been filed under sections 302,307,326 and 324 r/w 120 (B) IPC, Sections 13, 15 r/w 16,17,18,19 and 23 of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (as Amended in 2004) and Sections 3,4, and 5 of Explosive Substances Act 1908 against him for his role in the blasts.
Aseemanand was arrested from Haridwar on November 19, 2010, where he was hiding with a fictitious name 'Swami Omkaranand".
The Central Government had later transferred the case for further investigation by the National Investigation Agency.
Aseemanand is now in Ambala jail, being an accused in the Samjhauta Express Bomb Blast case of 2007.
In this case, two prime accused Sandeep Dange and Ramji Kalsangara are absconding, and the NIA has declared a reward of Rs. 10 lakhs each for their arrest. (ANI)
