New Delhi, May 14 (ANI): To train women and make senior citizens aware to tackle any unforeseen circumstances, an education-cum-orientation program was organized by Delhi Police at Janakpuri.
The awareness program dealt with safety, security and self-defence of women and senior citizens, which has emerged as a major concern for law enforcement agencies all over the world.
Additional Commissioner of Delhi Police (West Zone) V. Renganathan, who was present with his full team to support the program, emphasized on safety of women and senior citizens, as the level of violence against them is unfathomable.
A team from Crime Against Women Cell, Nanakpura, performed a stage show, which communicated how to safeguard from cheats and chain snatchers.
Organiser of the program, Pramila Chaddh, President of Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir and President Dharmik Mahila Sangh, Janakpuri, wished to conduct more such programs in future.
The entire event was held at Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir, Janakpuri and was attended by attended by women and senior citizens in large numbers.
Also present on the ocassion were Dinesh Gautam, vice president and coordinator of the program and Secretary BL Sharma along with area's MCd councilors - PR Sawhney and Promila Ghai. (ANI)
