Aurangabad, May 10 (ANI): Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev on Tuesday criticised the failure of the Indian legal system in implementing timely punishments after delivering the verdicts.
"India's judicial system is such that it would take a long time to pronounce the judgment. After that, you keep on delaying the punishment. This is injustice in the name of justice," said Ramdev, while speaking at a yoga camp here.
He also criticised the Indian practice of imposing charges against those, who speak against the government.
"Today, if anybody speaks against the government, it is considered a crime against the state. The English have made this law. But these charges are not being levelled against those who are guilty of them. They are, instead, being levelled at those who have not done anything," he said.
Ramdev has set up a political outfit named 'Bharat Swabhiman' that has been carrying out anti-corruption campaigns at yoga camps organised by him.
He also supported the Lokpal Bill drafted by veteran social activist Anna Hazare. (ANI)
