Kathua, May 10 (ANI): Minister of State for Defence M M Pallam Raju, who is on a three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir, has said India is fully prepared to fight militants trying to infiltrate into the country.
Speaking to mediapersons here, Raju said: "Government wants to carry forward the dialogue process and stable relationship between India and Pakistan. Whatever the militants are doing they have their own way, but our country is fully prepared to contain and eliminate them."
Raju further said the Indian government believes that Pakistan would handover all the people involved in the Mumbai attacks case.
"We are continuing the dialogue and have full faith that Pakistan will respond and handover all the terrorists involved in the Mumbai attacks case. That is why dialogue is currently on between secretaries of both the nations," he added.
Earlier, Raju reviewed the activities of Border Road Organisation (BRO), and was also briefed about ongoing projects.
He also visited various units in Project Sampark. Later, he presided over a meeting on road development issues.
Pallam Raju is scheduled to meet GOC-in-C Northern Command Lt Gen KT Parnaik and other senior officers besides being briefed on the security situation at Northern Command headquarters. (ANI)
