Islamabad, May 6(ANI): Indian tennis coach Birbal Wadhera has declared Pakistan a safe haven for sportspersons.
He revealed that he was unfazed by people advising him not to travel to Pakistan after the death of terror mastermind, Osama Bin Laden.
Responding on a safety situation, he said: "My presence here is enough to show the world that Pakistan is completely safe for all kinds of sports and our External Minister S M Krishna has supported my decision of visiting Pakistan.This tour will help bring people of both the countries together and ease the tensions between both the countries."
According to The Nation, Birbal is in Pakistan for 35 days to impart training to budding novices. Pakistan's top ranked players like Jalil Khan, Yasir Khan, Faizan, Mehak, Iman Qureshi and Sarah Mehboob will attend his camp.
He is likely to conduct training camps in Lahore and Islamabad.
He is one of the international coaches hired by Pakistan Tennis Federation(PTF) to guide the youngsters.
PTF President Kaleem Imam has thanked Birbal for his guidance and assured him of his support in conducting training sessions.
Kaleem said: "We want to polish our raw talent with the help of international coaches and we will invite Irish and Spanish coaches very soon."(ANI)
