Washington, April 24 (ANI): Hollywood hunk Hugh Jackman is supporting a charity campaign that encourages people to live on just a pound a day for five days to raise the awareness about the 1.4 billion people living in extreme poverty globally.
"It's a real challenge, but we just want to get people talking about this," Sky News quoted Jackman, as saying.
"I've been to Ethiopia and Cambodia, I've seen first-hand the difficulties people have but also how empowering it is when people get out of poverty," he said.
The campaign Below The Line, run by the Global Poverty Campaign, runs from May 2 to 6.
Jackman is convinced that the campaign will raise awareness among both governments and individuals. (ANI)
