London, Mar 24 (ANI): Liverpool bosses have criticized Spanish striker Fernando Torres, who moved to Chelsea for 50 million pounds in January, for putting a dark cloud over Anfield.
Liverpool's director of football Damien Comolli said: "It's like there is a bright new sky with no cloud over our head from the day that happened, so it's been only positive. When you have someone who doesn't want to be here and you swap him for people who do, the atmosphere changes."
Liverpool used the cash to bring in Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez, who have both quickly become the club favourites, The Sun reports.
Torres is still to score for Chelsea after seven appearances and has managed just nine goals in 26 games for Liverpool this season.
Comolli said: "Getting two players triggered the fact we could sell one who didn't want to be here and get two who did."
"That was really a relief for those reasons. When you get two players like we have done it's very positive for everyone. It's just a happy camp. We are looking forward to a bright future," he said. (ANI)
