New Delhi, Mar. 24 (ANI): The government has reconstituted the Society of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune for a period of three years with effect from March 4.
According to an order issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Saeed Mirza has been nominated as the president of the FTII Society and chairman of its governing council.
The government has nominated the following ex-officio members of the FTII Society. They shall remain members of the society as long as they retain the office or status by virtue of which they became members of the society:
They are as follows: Joint Secretary (Films), Chief Executive Officer, Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, Chairman, Central Board of Film Certification, Managing Director, National Film Development Corporation, Chief Producer, Films Division, Mumbai, Director, National School of Drama, Director, Indian Institute of Mass Communications, Director, National Film Archive of India (NFAI), Pune, Director, Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune and Director, Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata
In the category of "experts representing the activities of the government, a Joint Secretary from the Ministry of Culture, the chairperson, Sangeet Natak Academy and the Director General, Doordarshan, have been nominated to the society.
In the category of "persons of eminence connected with films and television education, journalism, literature, fine arts, dramatics, performing arts, Etc." the following persons have been nominated as members of the FTII Society: Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma, Ratan Thiyyam, Shazi Zaman, Rajiv Mehrotra, RamaVij, Benoy K. Behl and Dr. Kiran Seth
In the category of "alumni of FTII", the following persons have been nominated: Zareena Wahab, Rajkumar Hirani, Raza Murad and Subhash Chandra Sahoo. (ANI)
