Bangalore, Mar. 20 (ANI): Law Minister Veerappa Moily has described the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as opportunist after it demanded that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh quit over the WikiLeaks 'cash for votes' expose.
Moily said the BJP had no stake in the upcoming assembly polls in five states and accused it of wanting to destabilize the federal government.
"The BJP has no stake in these five elections. Five elections, which are (would be) held, they have no stake, but they have a stake in destabilizing (the federal government). They can utilize the instruments of Left parties also; BJP, they don't mind, they are opportunist party. They are not committed to any philosophy or ideology," Moily said in Bangalore.
Questioning the motive of WikiLeaks, he said: "I know what it is. I would charge that through these instruments of Wikileaks they make the CD and they make business. It is a business for them. They sell it to some of our agencies, they will purchase here and utilize against our own governments." (ANI)
