Latehar, Fri, 18 Feb 2011 ANI

Latehar, Feb 18 (ANI): The Special Auxiliary Police of Jharkhand organised a special camp in Latehar district to train cadets of the Jharkhand Armed Police (JAP) to combat Maoism in the State.

Laxman Prasad Singh, Deputy Inspector General of Palamu district, said the objective of the camp was to train combatants in a way that they would neutralise their enemies and ensure the safety of civilians at the same time.

"This is a school especially to give training to fight terrorism, to fight at night, which you have seen in the demonstration, so that our cadets can work efficiently in the future," he added.

Combatants gave special mock presentations to locals to spread awareness among them of Maoist attacks.

"Through the demonstration, we wanted to portray that some militants entered a village and are troubling villagers so we cordoned off the village and investigated. We killed some militants and for the safety of all combatants, we acted in a bond," said Arun Kumar, a trainee combatant. (ANI)
