India’s most successful cricket captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has stepped down as skipper for limited overs format of the game on Wednesday. MS Dhoni made an announcement left everyone surprised.After that the India’s Test Cricket team captain takes over as India’s Cricket team all time skipper.
Under MS Dhoni’s leadership, India has won World Cup and T20 World Cup and he has cult following among fans of the game. Dhoni will be available for playing in ODIs series against England. Now it’s the time to watch Virat Kohli as a captain and see Dhoni playing under his leadership.
Earlier, it was supposed that Virat Kohli, is all set to take over as the Indian Captain across all formats. Virat Kohli also paid glowing tributes to his predecessor Mahendra Singh Dhoni for being an inspirational leader and terming him as “captain forever.”
Test skipper Virat Kohli was on Friday handed the reigns of India's One-Day International (ODI) and T20 International cricket sides after Mahendra Singh Dhoni stepped down as the limited overs side captain on Wednesday.
The announcement came after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Senior Selection Committee led by chairman M.S.K. Prasad, met here to discuss the teams for the upcoming three ODIs and as many T20Is against England. Dhoni was, however, picked as a wicketkeeper-batsman in the limited overs format whereas Yuvraj Singh also entered in the team

Virat Kohli wrote on Twitter expressing his views that, “Thanks for always being the leader a youngster wants to have around him.
