Mumbai, 28th August, 2016: Architha Narayanam's 'Kaasika Bazaar' presented a Luring Mix of two Cultures at 6Degree Stage One during Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2016
The richness from Banaras and the splendour from Hyderabad infused together to create magic for Architha Narayanam's Kaasika Bazaar' collection, at 6Degree Stage One during Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2016.
Culture, heritage and the art of the two cities joined hands to create an ethereal enchantment that captivated the audience. It was a tribute to the unity in diversity of our country, and together they told a tantalizing tale of the modern bride.
The melange was the vivacious Banarasi weave and the stunning Hyderabadi zardosi. Rich Banarasi hues of red, green, and gold with elegant elephant motifs, were ornamented by the glittering Hyderabadi zardosi. This North-and-South collaboration took the base of raw silk, gold tissue and Banarasi textile to a new high.
The amalgamation of the two perfectly resonated to the idea of a contemporary bridal trousseau, fit for a royal wedding. Matching separates like elaborate embroidered jackets, pants, lehengas and tunics made their appearance. The lehengas echoed Banarasi kalis but with the Hyderabadi zardosi work. The attire that grabbed everyone's attention was a bright green jacket with a scintillating back that was ornate with elephants through temple structure, which worked as a layer over muted blouse and palazzo combination.
Bollywood heartthrob Karishma Kapoor made a grandiose entry in a dazzling red full-length gown with fine details through the elaborate, floral embroidery cascading down the front.
The compelling concoction of the two enchanting crafts in the collection of Kaasika Bazaar' by Architha Narayanam, was a glamorous presentation at 6Degree Stage One during Lakme Fashion Week Winter/ Festive 2016.
