India made 354 runs by loosing seven wickets and made a lead of 71 runs over the visitor's team at the time of lunch of the third day of the third test match which is being played in Punjab Cricket Association Ground on Monday.
At the lunch time Ravindra Jadeja (not out at 70) and Jayant Yadav (not out at 26) playing at creeze and made a partnership of 53 runs for eighth wicket for India.
India lost its only wicket of Ravi Chandran Ashwin in the first session of the third day third test match where Ashwin made 72 runs over 113 by hitting 11 fours balls and made partnership of 97 runs for the seventh wicket with Ravindra Jadeja.
Earlier, Parthiv Patel made 42, Cheteshwar Pujara (51) and Indian captain Virat Kohli (62) and made India to give lead to England's team.
England team made total of 283 runs in which Jonny Bairstow (89) and Jos Buttler (43) made their team to reach at that score. Indian bowlers showed good performance and managed to make England team back to pavillion at a low score.
Indian bowler Mohammed Shami had taken three wickets, whereas Umesh Yadav, Jayant Yadav and R. Jadeja taken 2-2 wickets and R.Ashwin got only one wicket.
In the series of five test matches against England, India is leading with 1-0 whereas the first test match was played at Rajkot which was a draw and the second test match was played at Vishakhapattnam and won by India by 246 runs.
