Preparatory Camp of the Junior Women Core Probables for the 7th Women's Junior Asia Cup to commence on 8th August 2015
New Delhi: The preparatory camp of the Junior Women Core Probables will commence at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi from 8th August to 31st August 2015. The camp is in preparations for the 7th Women's Junior Asia Cup, scheduled in Changzhou, China from 5th September- 13th September 2015.
The 33- member Junior Women Campers will be going under meticulous training sessions which will improve their team coordination and help them implement their strategies on the ground for the upcoming tournament.
The women team has gained some valuable experience after finishing 3rd in the recently concluded Volvo Invitational U-21 (Women) Tournament 2015 and will yet again be looking to carry their momentum forward.
Commenting on the Training Camp, Coach NS Saini said, “The team is motivated after finishing third in the Volvo Invitational U-21 Tournament 2015 where they showcased a fine performance. This camp will enable them to work on their weak areas and further solidify their strengths. We will look at our key problems in converting penalty corners and make sure we stress on rectifying those areas to give tough competition to the opponents.”
