President of India's message on the eve of National Day of Rwanda

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Republic of Rwanda on the eve of their National Day (July 04, 2015).

In his message to His Excellency Mr. Paul Kagame, the President of the Republic of Rwanda, the President has said, "On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it gives me immense pleasure to convey to you and to the Government and people of the Republic of Rwanda, my warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your National Day.

As Rwanda commemorates the 21st Year of the genocide, India stands with the people and the Government of Rwanda in their efforts to build a harmonious society based on democracy, peace and justice for all its people.

India and Rwanda enjoy warm and friendly relations which are reflected in our close bilateral relationship and co-operation in regional and international fora. I am confident that the close partnership between our two countries will further strengthen in the years ahead to our mutual benefit.

Please accept, Excellency, my best wishes for your personal well-being as well as for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of the Republic of Rwanda."
