Hockey India congratulates Raghuprasad RV on officiating his 100th International FIH match today
New Delhi, 25 June 2015: Raghuprasad RV, one of the most respected and prominent umpire in the International game of Hockey today completed his 100th International FIH tournament during the match between Australia and Pakistan in the ongoing FIH World League Semi Finals tournament in Belgium. On this memorable feat Hockey India congratulates Raghuprasad RV for achieving this significant milestone and thereby contributing tremendously on the field over the years.
Born in Bangalore, Raghuprasad started officiating international matches in the year 2003 where he was the umpire during a match played between Australia and Pakistan at Perth in 2003. Since then there is no looking back for him as he built a stature of an umpire who everyone in the International circuit looked up to. He even has to his credit of umpiring important hockey tournaments like Hockey World Cup 2014, Men's Junior World Cup 2013 and 2012 London Olympics to name a few.
Congratulating Raghuprasad RV on his achievement, Mr. Mohd Mushtaque Ahmad, Secretary General, Hockey India said, “We are very pleased and proud of him. We would like to congratulate Raghuprasad on this huge milestone for officiating in 100 International matches. We wish him all the best and hope to see him continue in this manner for years to come.”
