With the iconic Hussain Sagar Lake as the backdrop, the former F1 driver took the Red Bull F1 car for a spin in the city.

Hyderabad, 5th April, 2015: Infiniti Red Bull Racing gave Hyderabad a taste of Formula One for the first time ever today. The extreme noise of the F1 car coupled with the driving expertise of legendary 13-time Grand Prix winner David Coulthard who was at the wheel, made the Red Bull F1 Show Run of Hyderabad an unforgettable event.

Driving the car across the Tank Bund Road stretch and 2 times around the Hussain Sagar Lake, Coulthard showed what the Infiniti Red Bull Racing car can do, as he reached speeds of 282 km per hour. Speaking about his second visit to India and driving the F1 car on Indian soil once again, David Coulthard said, "It's good to be back in India. The F1 fans of this country have always given me a warm welcome. It's my second time here and the enthusiasm in this country has only increased since my last visit. It's always a special feeling to drive a Formula One car for the sheer thrill of the fans and it was incredible to take the car for a spin at such an iconic location. What made this show run even more special was that we are the first team to have driven a Formula One car on the streets of Hyderabad. This city and its enthusiasm is something I will remember long after I return home."

Lithuanian freestyle stunt biker Aras Gibieza proved to be a fitting opening act as he performed a daredevilish inaugural feat, following which Indian film star Nagarjuna flagged off the F1 car. The Showrun ended on a memorable note with Coulthard waving the Indian flag.

Also present at the event were the father son duo, actors Nagarjuna and Chaitanya, member of legislative assembly K Taraka Ramarao, India's foremost off-road racer CS Santosh and cricketer Varun Aaron among others.
