The Indian Federation for Fashion Development (IFFD) is all set to provide the young designers with a platform to showcase their talents to get a distinguished recognition during the India Runway Week 2013 to be held from 29th August to 1st September 2013 at Mapple Exotica, New Delhi.
India Runway Week will provide the new talents in the fashion world who strive for recognition, innovation and improvement with one of the biggest platform to prove their mettle in the dynamic fashion industry, which makes the event quite special and important for them.
IRW will feature around twenty four designers, these designers would be majorly young talent and a few established names as well. Some of the designers participating are Rajdeep Ranawat, Amit Talwar, Sagar Mehra, Deepa Arora, Rosy Ahluwalia, Swati Modo, Akanksha Arora, Minakshi Shangle, Rakesh Aggarwal, Geetanjali Rawat Digvijay Singh etc
The event will feature the best of traditional, contemporary, and collaborative fashion, textiles and accessories from communities around India. The IRW will not only showcase unique designs and products but will also present national and international delegates a range of cultural performances, tourism experiences and visual art. It also features a Fashion Fair Marketplace, direct purchasing links and networking opportunities for industry buyers, retailers and consumers.

Referring to the development of the idea behind IFFD, the director duo says: "The idea to establish IFFD was to give these young people a chance to nurture their talents and encourage their growth by giving them a chance to make connections, find buyers and rediscover themselves as artists. We can easily connect with these designers because we are also young and try to make our voices heard. We can imagine how difficult it must be for these aspirants to find their foothold in a sector that is already filled with many amazing designers. Nonetheless, they shouldn't stop trying and neither will we."Don’t underestimate these young designers, after all they are the veteran designers of the future!
