The second day of the 19th Delhi Book Fair witnessed huge rush partly Due to weekend and party due to number of activities. The day started with discussion on Library & the Reader by Authors Guild of India where panel members were univocal in their concern towards current state of libraries in India.
The discussion was followed by Kavi Sammelan where literary figures like Krishnakant Madhur, Kanupriya, Sarojini Pritam, Umashankar Parashar, Promila and Suresh Sharma recited poems which were largely focussed on environment and current state of language & literature. A seminar on Role of LIS professionals were also organised during the day by Indian Library Association. During this seminar the panellists –BK Suri, former Chief Librarian- IIPA Delhi; Dr RK Sharma, UNO Chief Librarian, Delhi; Dr Shailendra Kumar, Asst Prof, DU; Dr Ashu Shokeen, ILA President, stressed on the greater need of modernisation and interlinking of the libraries in India.
The day ended with book release function where Tarun Vijay, MP, Rajya Sabha; Shri Ved Pratap Vaidik, renowned author, journalist and speaker and Shri Joginder Singh, Ex Director, CBI inaugurated "Kaun Hai Guru?" written by Shri Shashikant Sadaivji and published by Diamond Publication.The main attraction on the third day of the fair will be Book release functions by Kant Darshan Publishers and Bright Group of Publications and a Seminar by Innodata India Pvt Ltd. th August, 2013: The second day of the 19th Delhi Book Fair witnessed huge rush partly
