Mohd. Ansar's brace helped Government School Sector 11, Rohini defeat C.R.P.F. Public School, Dwarka 3-0 in a knock-out match of the 2nd edition of the Airtel Rising Stars-Delhi Leg, at Ganga International School Ground, Hiran Kudna in Delhi today.
Basant scored the first goal of the match in 29th minute and put early pressure on the opponents. C.R.P.F. Public School, who had good run untill this match. They tried to put pressure on the Govt. School Sec. 11, Rohini but they failed to convert them into goals. Star of previous match, Ansar scored another brace in 32nd and 39th minute to seal the victory for his team.
In another knock-out match at the same ground, N.K. Bagrodia Public School, Dwarka outplayed The Heritage School, Rohini 0-0 (4-3). After a goalless draw, both the teams competed in the penalty shoot-out. Gaurav Sharma, Vinayak and Nawab managed three goals for The Heritage School, whereas, Gaurav, Prashant, Ayush and Shivanshu materialised their four attempts and won the match for the team.
GD Goenka Public School, Rohini beat Sachdeva Public School, Paschim Vihar 1-0 in the last match of the day. Haritek Khurana scored the lone goal in 40th minute.
