The trial of former Pakistan president and military ruler Pervez Musharraf, regarding the judges' detention case, will be held at his farmhouse that has been declared a "sub-jail".
The Islamabad High Court allowed anti-terrorism court Judge Kausar Abbas Zaidi for the trial of the former President and dictator at his farmhouse in the suburb of Chak Shahzad, reports the Daily Times.
The anti-terrorism court is hearing a case against Musharraf for the detention of dozens of superior judges after imposing emergency rule in 2007 during his rule.
The court gave its verdict after checking the security arrangements at the farmhouse.
Earlier, the chief commissioner of Islamabad had issued a notification to conduct Musharraf's trial at his farmhouse but it was later withdrawn after Zaidi raised concerns of security for him.
Zaidi also informed the Islamabad High Court in writing about his security concerns.
Zaidi had requested for establishing a courtroom within Musharraf's farmhouse and has demanded a bullet-proof vehicle for his personal use due to security concerns.
The Islamabad administration recently recommended that Musharraf's trial should be conducted at his farmhouse as he would be exposed to threats every time he was driven from his residence to the court complex in the heart of Islamabad.
The Pakistani Taliban has released at least two videos threatning to kill Musharraf for carrying out various operations during his rule.
