Three players S.Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan from IPL's Rajasthan Royals, who were allegedly involved in IPL spot-match fixing, were on Tuesday imposed with the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA), Delhi Police said.
The three cricketers were arrested by the Delhi Police on May 16 in Mumbai for their involvement in spot fixing in IPL matches for payments up to Rs.60 lakh each for giving away pre-determined number of runs in an over.
The Rajasthan team owners have already filed a criminal complaint against all the three players while the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has suspended them.
Delhi Police have arrested 26 people who were found connected with the spot fixing in IPL among which 18 people have been sent to judicial custody, which included players of Rajasthan Royals too.
However, Chavan was granted interim bail May 30 by a Delhi court as his marriage was scheduled on June 2.
