The Opening Ceremony of Pepsi Indian Premier League (IPL) 2013 will be held on the evening of Tuesday, 2 April 2013, at the Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata.
IPL has signed Shahrukh Khan and Juhi Chawla's Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt Ltd as the official promoters for the Opening Ceremony.
Rajeev Shukla, Chairman, IPL said, "We are delighted to have tied up with Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt Ltd, which has a proven track record of organizing and executing events on a grand scale. The Opening Ceremony of the Pepsi IPL 2013 will be one of the most spectacular events ever witnessed, in keeping with what will follow in the tournament itself, over the following seven weeks".
This year 9 teams are participating and they have announced their registered squads.
Pepsi IPL 2013 will be played from 3 April 2013 to 26 May 2013.
