Dhoni scores his maiden 200, puts India in a likely win situation

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, captain of Indian team touched the milestone of 200 runs on Day 3 of ongoing Border-Gavaskar trophy test match between India and Australia. He reached this milestone in just 231 balls. With this India has taken a lead of 135 runs with still one wicket in hand.

Tendulkar and Kohli started the play on Day 3 of test match but Sachin soon perished. In came Dhoni with a mind-set of counter attack and counter-attack he did. He blasted Australian bowlers all around the pitch with fours and sixes. Kohli too left after making 107 runs, Ravindra Jadeja too couldn't do much with the bat.

Dhoni then played on his own taking singles and double on his will. He single-handedly took India past the score of 380 put by Australians in their first innings.

At the end of the Day 3, Dhoni was not out at 206 with Bhuvneshwar Kumar on the other side with 16 runs in 56 balls. India have scored 515 runs at the lose of 8 wickets and leads by 135 runs.

India has taken the lead and it is looking like a winning situation for India. Pitch has dried up and if Indian bowlers get Australian out by Day 4, Indian Batsmen can try to win this Test match.

Day 3 completely belonged to Dhoni, he smashed bowlers for 22 fours and 5 sixes during his inning. His previous best score in Test match was 148. Now he has joined the elite group of batsmen who have scored 200 in Test matches.
