In a shocking natural calamity, the super typhoon Halyan has badly affected the Philippines in which more than 100 people have died due to the powerful storms ever recorded. The wind, which is about 200 mph, has left the area in a complete devastation state.
According to sources, more that 100 people have died due to the super typhoon and an equal number of people have been reportedly injured after the strongest storm on record slammed into the central Philippines.
According to Captain John Andrews ,Deputy Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority, the information about the deaths was relayed to him by his staff in Tacloban on Leyte Island, Huffington Post reports.
Most of the power lines and communications were knocked out a day after the typhoon Haiyan devastated the central region of Philippines, the report added.
According to the report, nearly 750,000 people were forced to flee their homes and damage was believed to be extensive as the storm ripped roofs off houses and triggered landslides that blocked roads.
