HIL: Pak players to return home amid growing tension at LoC

The Hockey India, the governing body of national and international Hockey in India has decided to send back to nine Pakistani players amid growing tension at India-Pakistan border.

Due to simmering tensions between the two countries, the voice against the Pak players to send back home is growing rapidly. Viewing the rising fury, Hockey India has decided to send all Pak players to their home.

The players who are going back includes - Fareed Ahmed, Imran Butt, Mahmood Rashid and Muhammad Tousiq (all Mumbai Magicians); Muhammad Rizwan Sr. and Muhammad Rizwan Jr. (Delhi Waveriders); Muhammad Irfan and Shafqat Rasool (Ranchi Rhinos); and Kashif Shah (Jaypee Punjab Warriors).

"The decision was made in consultation with the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) and International Hockey Federation (FIH)," HIL chairman Narinder Batra said.
