With Afghanistan loosing both the matches against India and England, it is now between the two teams to decide who will top the group in the ongoing World T20 in Srilanka.
England defeated Afghanistan with ease and they performed well even without Pietersen. They won by 116 runs. Luke Wright made 99 and 4 England bowlers 2 wickets each. The match was one sided with Afghanistan getting all out on mere 80 against the 196 made by England.
Though India too won its group match against Afghanistan, it had to struggle. India playing first made a total of 159 with the highest score of 50 by Kohli. Gambhir and Sehwag couldn't give the start, Yuvraj, Raina and Dhoni had to struggle in the end. Bowling of India too didn't have the pace.
Now that India and England face each other on 23 September 2012, they will have the real fight. Indian batsmen will have to face more experienced and tough bowlers like Finn, Broad, Swann and Patel while bowlers will have to control batsmen like Luke Wright, Eoin Morgan, Hales and Buttler.
England too have a great task as India has a great and deep batting lineup with the likes of Sehwag, Gambhir and Kohli on the top and Yuvraj, Raina, Rohit, Dhoni and Pathan in the middle. Zaheer, Balaji, Ashwin, Yuvraj and Pathan will also make it harder for England batsmen with the ball.
India will face England on 23 September 2012 on R. Premdasa Stadium of Colombo.
