Indian External Affairs Minister S M Krishna, who is at present in Tehran, capital of Islamic Republic of Iran, with Prime Minister Manmhoan Singh to take part in Non-Aligned Movement meet, Tuesday said that Pakistan would note Supreme Court's verdict on Kasab as Supreme Court is the apex body of judgment and its verdict becomes law.
Talking to media a day before SC's verdict on Kasab, Krishna said, "The Supreme Court is the highest court of appeal in India. When it announces something, it becomes the law of the land. Other things will follow," he said.
Citing Pakistan's judiciary a pro-active Krishna added, "I am sure Pakistan will not fail to take note of what has happened in the Supreme Court of India."
As the SC pronounced the death sentence to Mohammad Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone survivor Pakistani terrorist who caught red handed during 26/11 Mumbai terror attack strike, comments from all over sides have begun to come.
"The Supreme Court's pronouncements are the law of the land," said Krishna by adding that terrorism is the cause of concern for the world and this issue will be discussed in the meeting when Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will meet Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari in Tehran."
Zardari has also come to Tehran to attend the NAM meet.
An Indian official had said that India's message to Pakistan would be "enough of talk, act against terror; we have given you the evidence".
"Terror can't be solved by talks. Pakistan will have to work. We will have to work to make it impossible for terror to hit us," the official said of the key issue likely to figure in the Manmohan-Zardari parleys expected Thursday.
