Under 19 team of India has registered a one-wicket win over Pakistan in the Under 19 World Cup that is being held in Australia.
With this win India has qualified for the semi-finals of Under 19 World Cup.
The quarterfinal match between India Pakistan was played at the Ireland Stadium in Townsville.
Pakistan while batting first made 136 in 45.1 overs. Babar Azam struck 50 off 109 balls while Ehsan Adil made 35 runs. 4 Pakistan batsmen were dismissed for a duck.
Baba Aparajith scored a half-century and Vijay Zol scored 36, as India registered a thrilling against Pakistan to qualify of the ongoing Under 19 World Cup in Australia on Monday.
Sandeep and Ravikant of India took three wickets each.
Chasing a small total of 137 to win, Indian batsmen too struggled. They were reduced to 8-3. Aparajith and Zol consolidated the innings and added 66 runs for the fourth wicket.
But after they fell, Indian wickets kept falling and they were close to defeat. Sandeep Sharma and Harmeet Singh together made 10 runs for the 10th wicket and helped India thump a 1-wicket win over Pakistan.
Zia-Ul-Haq and Azizullah of Pakistan took 3 wickets each while Ehsan Adil claimed two wickets.
India finished 137 for 9 from 48 overs.
