Ever controversial Shoaib Akhtar has recently said in an interview that he will be more then glad to shape the future of upcoming Pakistani bowlers by being the bowling coach.
Akhtar said, "I am ready to be the bowling coach for Pakistan. If the PCB contacts me then I will offer my services."
"It's an honour to serve the country and it can be done by helping the upcoming bowlers. It will give me a chance to pay back what the country has given me," he added.
PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) is looking for a bowling coach. They recently appointed Australian Dav Whatmore as head coach in March.
Pakistan will play Australia in U.A.E. from August 28. They will have 3 ODIs and 3Twenty20s.
Shoiab said, "Cricket remains my passion and I would love to remain associated with the sport". Yesterday I was a player, today I can be a coach."
Akhtar (37) retired from International cricket after the 2011 World cup. Career of Rawalpindi Express has always been surrounded by fitness and discipline problems.
He took 178 wickets in 46 Tests and 247 wickets in 163 One-Day Internationals.
