Gold Medallist in London Olympics Andy Murray was out of Cincinnati Masters when he lost to French lucky loser Jeremy Chardy 6-4, 6-4.
Murray was the defending champion of Cincinnati Masters. World number four said, he will now completely focus on US open that will start on August 27.
Andy Murray said, "This was like my second or third match on the hard courts. I played well yesterday; didn't play so well today".
"I made quite a lot of mistakes early on in the rallies which normally I don't do. That's why it's disappointing. I won't play any more matches. Sometimes I've won tournaments in the buildup (to a major) and it hasn't helped me. That doesn't normally have that much bearing. But I would have liked to have done a bit better this week," he added.
On the other hand Silver Medallist Roger Federer has eased his way to Quarter finals after defeating Australia's Bernard Tomic, 6-2, 6-4.
Jeremy Chardy, ranked 38th, will now face Argentine Juan Martin del Potro.
While Federer will face American Mardy Fish. "It's his kind of surface, he's at home in America and so I am going to have my hands full," Federer said.
