After getting cured from cancer, Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has found a place in India's 15-man squad for the Twenty20 World Cup to be played in Sri Lanka next month. Lakhs of his fans were waiting for his memorable return to cricket after he got cured from cancer.
The selection of this brilliant cricketer was expected after he was included in the preliminary squad of 30 members last month. Yuvraj played his last match for India in November 2011.
Besides Yuvraj, Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh was also included in the national squad after a one-year gap, alongside speedster Laxmipathy Balaji, who played his last game in 2009. Another player who got the selectors' nod was leggie Piyush Chawla, who last played for India in the 2011 ODI World Cup.
The same team will also play two T-20 Internationals against New Zealand at home.
