Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari has welcomed the resumption of cricket relations between India and Pakistan and hoped that it will build a positive atmosphere for future. Zardari has written a letter to Indian Prime Minister Manmohan singh in this regard.
Sources say that Zardari sent the letter to Manmohan in which he welcomed the moves taken by cricket control boards of both the countries. He praised resumption of cricket relations between both the countries. Letter also highlights the facts that Prez has hoped that the resumption of cricket matches would add to positive atmosphere witnessed by the two countries.
The letter said, "You would recall that in my recent visit to India, we discussed resumption of cricket ties between Pakistan and India. I am glad to learn that the cricket boards of Pakistan and India have agreed to resume cricket matches after a gap of five years."
It is noted that the Indian cricket board invited Pakistan to play three One-dayers and two Twenty20 Internationals in December-January, a move that would see the archrivals clashing in a bilateral series after a five-year gap.
