With its Pakistani backers, the notorious out fit Lashkar-e-Taiba (Let) has probably become the most dangerous terror group Al –Qaeda is on ropes. The new assumption has been came in light by a US expert which has been came in light recently.
Bruce Riedel, a senior fellow foreign policy at Brookings Institution, has made the new revelation. He wrote that the Mumbai attack was the maturation of Let, which targeted India, was the most significant and innovative terrorist attack since 9/11.
He further wrote that the arrest of Sayeed Zabiuddin Ansari alias Abu Jindal that was one of masterminds of the Mumbai attack in India is the major breakthrough in the investigation of the deadliest terror attack in the world since 9/11.
Article further said that Jindal is already confessing to his role and implicating Pakistan's Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) directorate directly in controlling the attack as it went down. If the press reports are confirmed in which such a accusations has been made then the ISI was involved directly in the decision to murder Americans, he wrote.
Article mentioned that however Let operates freely in Pakistan and it has connection with Pakistani intelligence services and army, it is noted that Let has a global connections including South Asia, Persian Gulf and also in Europe, Australia and North America.
It also highlights that when Al Qaeda is on ropes, LeT is now probably the most dangerous terror group in the world with the help of Pakistan.
