Taking action against exposed players in a Television sting operation in which five players including TP Sudhindra were trapped in spot fixing during the ongoing series of the fifth edition of Indian Premier League (IPL), the Board of Control for Cricket of India (BCCI), the regulatory body of Cricket in India today barred all players from playing all forms of cricket sponsored by BCCI or its alliances.
Slapping a five years ban over four players - Mohnish Mishra, Abhinav Bali, Shalabh Srivatsava and Amit Yadav - BCCI has also announced to withdraw all profits, benefits, rewards, recognition and fees during the barred period from all tainted cricketers.
T P Sudhindra has been barred for the life time. He would not be allowed to play any form of cricket in India recognized by BCCI or its sub-ordinate body, informed BCCI in a released statement.
A disciplinary committee, which was organized after exposing the players to probe the case today submitted its report to the board. N. Srinivasan, Mr. Arun Jaitley and Mr. Niranjan Shah were in the committee.
The Committee perused the report of Ravi Sawani, the Commissioner of Inquiry and also conducted personal hearing to all accused players.
