No.1 seeded Maria Sharapova and Novak Djokovic made to the fourth round of Wimbledon by defeating Hsieh Su-Wei and Radek Stepanek respectively.
Maria Sharapova marked an easy win over Taipei's Hsieh Su-Wei by a 6-1, 6-4 victory.
Maria dominated the first set and broke Hsieh three times with crunching forehands.
In the second set Sharapova double-faulted five times. She trailed 4-2 in the second set before taking the last four games.
Sharapova is eyeing for 2nd Wimbledon title after completeing her career grand slam by winning her first French Open title. Maria lost to Petra Kvitova in last year's final.
Sharapova will now play Sabine Lisicki of Germany.
Sharapova said, "She changed the pace really well and her serve is really tricky. The conditions were tough, I had to face a lot out there and be patient".
"The wind was tricky but I knew I had to handle it," she added.
Novak Djokovic on the other hand had to struggle to go through in the fourth round. He dropped his first set against 28-seeded Radek by 4-6. But he took charge in next three sets 6-2, 6-2, 6-2 and defeated Radek to reach round four of Wimbledon.
Djokovic defeated Radek by 4-6, 6-2, 6-2, 6-2.
Djokovic is eyeing to win consecutive titles at Wimbledon. If he does he will be the first man since Roger Federer in 2007 to do so.
Djokovic will next play 34 seeded Viktor Troicki.
