Lance Armstrong accused of using performance-enhancing drugs by USADA

Lance Armstrong used performance-enhancing drugs during his career, this is the allegation US Anti Doping Agency (USADA) is putting on him. USADA has forwarded this allegation to Anti Doping Review Board.

USADA has sent an official 15-page letter to Lance and his 5 associates, 3 doctors and two team officials have been informed about the legal procedure. The accusation time period of Armstrong career is from 1998-2011.

If a hearing take place on the case an independent panel (with no members of USADA in it) will decide Armstrong has committed any violation or not.

Armstrong on the other hand is denying the accusation saying USADA want brand him a drugs cheat based on discredited allegations. He further added, "I have never doped, and, unlike many of my accusers, I have competed as an endurance athlete for 25 years with no spike in performance, passed more than 500 drug tests and never failed one".

Lance Armstrong has won 7 Tour de France from 1999-2005 after surviving cancer.
