Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir: Both play for Delhi and India, both are openers and both are speculated to wear the cap for India in coming time. But today Feroz Shah Kotla will witness them facing each other as Delhi Daredevils takes on Kolkata Knight Riders at 8 pm.
Though it will be a bit of problem for Delhi fans to whom to cheer for, Sehwag or Gambhir as both are local players. They are also in top three scorers of this year's IPL, Sehwag has scored 445 runs while Gambhir is just 24 runs behind with 421 runs. It will be interesting to see who takes his score further.
This match is also important in terms of who takes the top position in points table, currently Delhi Daredevils is at the top with 16 points and KKR is at 2nd with 15 points. A win for KKR will take them to first position.
Both of the teams are performing well. From Delhi, Sehwag, Jayawardene and Morkel are destroying the opposition while Gambhir, Kallis, McCullum, Lee and Narine have benn doing the same for KKR.
As Kevin Pietersen has flown back to play for his team Delhi will hope that David Warner fill perfectly in his boots.
