Murali Vijay was the architect and Chennai Super Kings ransacked Delhi Daredevils in the second qualifier and reached to the Indian Premier League Final for the third time in a row. Chennai Super Kings thumped the 86 runs defeat over Delhi Daredevils.
First two ball of the match perished for fours and it was the start of destruction that Vijay brought on Delhi bowlers who were without the top wicket takers Morne Morkel. In a very strange decision he was not played while an unknown Sunny Gupta was played. He was playing his first IPL match!
Delhi bowlers couldn't control Chennai batsmen as they went ballistic, Vijay hit 113 runs in 58 balls hitting 15 fours and 4 sixes. Dhoni and Bravo provided late showers hitting 23 (10) and 33 (12) respectively. CSK made mammoth 222 runs in 20 overs with the loss of just 5 wickets.
Delhi might have loss the match then and their. Jayawardene was the only player who fought hard. Rest of them just kept on getting out and at the end they were all out at 136.
Murali was awarded man of the match.
Now it will be interesting to see how Dhoni's team tackles three spinners: Iqbal Abdulla, Shakib and specially Sunil Narine.
2nd Qualifier between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Daredevils was played at M.A. Chidambaram stadium of Chennai in which former marked 86 runs win.
With this win Chennai Super Kings has made it to the final of IPL 2012 and will play Kolkata Knight Riders on May 27. Kolkata Knight Riders is already in the final. They defeated Daredevils in 1st Qualifier and made the direct entry to final.
