Kolkata Knight Riders are finally into the final, they have had worst 4 IPL seasons but this year they have turned it completely. Delhi Daredevils were the favorite to win yesterday's qualifier but playing three fast bowlers on a slow pitch took the game away from them. KKR marked 18 runs win over Daredevils to reach the final of IPL 2012.
On the other hand KKR hit everything right, they played with three spinners who did a tremendous job and long lost Yusuf too clicked at the very right moment. Gambhir started the innings well with McCullum by hitting 32 in just 16 balls. Kallis too contributed but the late showers were provided by Yusuf and Shukla who made 40 and 24 respectively.
Delhi strength throughout the IPL were their fast bowler but this time they failed miserably. During the chase except Jayawardene no batsmen showed the fight. Sehwag went early, Warner became the victim of wrong decision, Venugopal played 22 balls for his 13 and all this added pressure on Jayawardene who finally got stumped trying to match the asking run rate. Delhi Daredevils could only make 144 and fell short by 18 runs.
Yusuf was awarded man of the match for his blistering innings.
Kolkata Knight Riders will play the final on 27, while Delhi has another chance to qualify in the 2nd Qualifier to be played on 25th.
