Legendary footballer Drogba to set foot on Indian soil to coach football team

Chelsea player and present captain of Ivory Coast, Didier Drogba will set foot in India in June to coach a football team. He will visit India for a football event organized by Pepsi under the name Pepsi T20 football. The tentative date is 16 June 2012.

Star footballer who played the Ace role in Chelsea's acquiring of Champions League final will coach the winner of the tournament.

Organizer of the event said, "We are proud to bring one of the world's most exciting footballers". The winner will then play Indian cricket stars. Drogba is a Pepsi brand ambassador since 2009.

Pepsi T20 football is being played by over 448 teams for the last few weeks. It is a 20-minute knockout match. The finale will take place on June 17. The tournament is taking place in Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Mumbai, Lucknow, Ludhiana and Delhi.

Pepsi organized this tournament with advertisement showing Ranbir Kapoor and saying "Change the Game".

Drogba (34) is set to leave Chelsea when his contract with them expires on June. He confirmed it by posting in club's website "I wanted to put an end to all the speculation and confirm that I am leaving Chelsea". He has been with them since 2004.
